I WAS ABLE TO RECLAIM A WORN OUT CHAIR AND MAKE IT BEAUTIFUL AGAIN!

“I’d bought a second hand chair for my dressing table. The frame was wood, with a lovely vintage fabric on the seat. However, the legs were wobbly and the seat cushion was going flat. We took the chair apart and started by securing the legs with wood glue to keep them sturdy. Then we sanded and painted the frame white to match my dressing table. And finally we replaced the tired webbing, and were able to reclaim the original filling and fabric to lessen waste. I learnt how to use an industrial air staple gun for the webbing and how to hammer upholstery tacks along the original seat trim to complete the look.

Dani was really helpful and instructive, whilst allowing me to do most of the work. This helped me to learn and develop the skills for myself, which I can now use in future refurbishment projects.

I love that we were able to salvage most of the chair’s original materials, with the old webbing and tacks being the only things we replaced. I particularly love the original fabric we kept, as it reminds me of the history of the chair.

Dani’s upholstery class was excellent. She was so warm and friendly, and was a brilliant teacher; allowing me to take part in every part of the process, only stepping in to inform and guide where needed.

I love how my chair looks and I feel a real sense of achievement knowing I did it myself! I didn’t just leave with a beautifully refurbished chair, but with the skills to upholster and refurbish other furniture in the future. Thank you Dani!”

“We needed help with a gloomy living room that gets very little natural light. The room had no focal point and the colours were all wrong.

Daniela and Josh came round and visited us in person on many separate occasions; to view the room, take detailed measurements and share with us ideas and inspiration that was tailor-made to our brief.

Daniela’s mood boards are a work of art. She includes hand painted sketches, fabric swatches, photos and very accurate floor plans, with meticulous details about furniture sizes and many separate possibilities for us to choose from.

Nothing was too much trouble for Daniela and Josh. Not only are they incredibly professional, talented and experienced, but they are also genuinely kind and thoughtful people. We were completely inspired.”

I was fortunate enough to have Dani come and help me design my sitting room. It needed a major overhaul and I had a very small budget. She was amazing at working out what I wanted when I couldn’t necessarily express it. After sitting with me a couple of times, she came to me with a mood board which was exactly what I wanted the room to be like. She helped me shop for paint, curtains and furnishings, helping me stay well within my budget with some fantastic finds. Dani has done an excellent job at making my sitting room look amazing without blowing my budget.

I love Dani’s attention to detail; she found us a mirror and a light fitting that tie in really well with the objects we already had in the room that we wanted to keep.
